Breaking Free From Manual Processes

Before ClassLink, the district relied on outdated manual processes, including “pen and paper” methods, to manage student and staff accounts. As they transitioned to modern digital tools, educators faced challenges with multiple logins and account management, creating inefficiencies and accessibility issues. The district needed a streamlined solution to simplify access, automate resource management, and provide IT staff with better troubleshooting capabilities.

Bringing Order to a Digital Learning Environment

ClassLink provided a comprehensive solution with LaunchPad, the ClassLink Management Console (CMC), and Roster Server. LaunchPad streamlined access by allowing students and staff to sign in once and instantly access their digital resources. Teachers also benefited from its ability to organize apps, assignments, and class setups efficiently.

Roster Server automated the import and synchronization of student and staff data, eliminating manual uploads and reducing errors. Rule-based Permissions enabled the district to assign resources by grade level, school, or role, ensuring a more tailored digital learning experience. Additionally, the CMC’s impersonation feature allowed IT staff to troubleshoot user issues remotely by simulating user experiences.

Since implementing ClassLink, the district has significantly improved efficiency and reduced IT workload. Analytics have helped leaders track app usage and optimize vendor contracts. With enhanced resource management and troubleshooting capabilities, Fairbanks North Star Borough School District continues to refine its digital ecosystem, ensuring students and staff can focus on learning rather than navigating complex systems.

Securing the Future: How Collierville Made Cybersecurity Understandable and Actionable

In the heart of West Tennessee, Collierville Schools serves around 9,500 students with a community that deeply values education. With iPads for all PreK–8 students, MacBook Airs for high schoolers, and dual devices for every teacher, the district's tech environment is as robust as it is complex. For Lisa and Emily, two former teachers turned tech leaders, this meant managing a sprawling digital ecosystem while protecting student data and supporting educators.

Challenge

Before ClassLink, digital access was chaotic. Teachers juggled a dozen websites and logins, while Lisa spent days creating spreadsheets to roster students manually—sometimes generating 36 files just for one vendor. Worse, as cybersecurity threats grew, the district struggled to interpret and act on dense technical standards. It felt overwhelming trying to protect sensitive data while keeping everything running smoothly.

Solution

ClassLink changed the game. Most transformative was DataGuard. After a serious breach from an outside vendor, Lisa and Emily leaned on ClassLink to mask PII and protect their community. With LaunchPad, students and teachers now access all their digital tools from a single dashboard—no more password headaches. Roster Server and OneSync automated rostering and account provisioning, cutting tedious tasks from days to minutes.  The Cybersecurity Rubric (CR) turned complex frameworks into plain language, helping district leaders understand and champion better practices. And with ClassLink Academy, help articles, and the always-responsive support team, Emily never feels alone.

Results

Today, Collierville’s tech team spends less time troubleshooting and more time empowering teachers. Students are protected, systems run smoothly, and new vendor adoption is seamless. Lisa and Emily now lead with confidence, backed by tools that safeguard their district and a partner they can trust. As Lisa puts it, “Customer success at ClassLink is second to none.”

“Think about all the time you're spending managing your lists, the logins for your teachers, the data that you’re potentially sending to vendors… ClassLink is a bargain for what you’re paying for!”
