ClassLink and NetSupport Collaborate to Improve Rostering to Classroom Management Tools
ClassLink, the leader in single sign-on, class rostering, and learning resource analytics, has announced a strategic relationship with NetSupport, a global education software solutions provider, to integrate Student Information System (SIS) environments via ClassLink’s Roster Server with NetSupport’s award-winning classroom management solution, NetSupport School. NetSupport School provides tutors with dedicated assessment, monitoring, collaboration and control features to leverage the full value of technology-led teaching and learning using best practice.
The collaboration with ClassLink to integrate SIS environments into NetSupport School via ClassLink’s Roster Server means that schools are now empowered to work even more effectively. Once synced with OneRoster®, NetSupport School Tutors can select their school and access their SIS data (lessons and required students) instantly. Not only does this new feature help tutors to save time when setting up their technology-led lessons, but also it offers more flexibility when connecting to student devices.
Al Kingsley, MD of NetSupport, explains: “Technology is such a huge investment in schools, but not everyone is maximizing its benefits. We wanted to go one step further and help break down any remaining barriers to using technology in the classroom. After speaking to a range of schools, it became clear that adding SIS integration would further enhance and support its use. Saving teachers time and hassle by making it possible for them to access their lesson details from anywhere in the school, makes the task so much easier and means that teaching time is enhanced. Teaming up with ClassLink made perfect sense with their experience and a wide range of features to further enrich classroom edtech”.
Patrick Devanney, ClassLink’s Vice President of Interoperability Services commented: “NetSupport School provides classroom management solutions that save teachers’ time. This makes it a natural fit with ClassLink as our product removes barriers to access, thus returning instructional time to the classroom. It’s an issue of improving efficiency for teachers and students alike”.
