Cybersecurity Announcements
IP-based Protections & Security Roles
ClassLink LaunchPad now has Advanced IP-Based Protections to help schools implement practical MFA for students and staff. New features include allowing or blocking logins based on IP Address, MFA bypass based on IP, and Auto IP block based on suspicious activity.
Inside the ClassLink Management Console (CMC), ClassLink Admin can also use the new Security Roles features to assign security roles to groups and users, giving leaders more granular control over user access and permissions.

Security Center
ClassLink also announced Security Center, a cybersecurity mission control center available in the CMC, where school technology leaders can find, track, and catalog security events and suspicious activity, making it easier to take action and protect data.

30+ Vendors Join DataGuard
Over thirty edtech vendor partners now accept class roster data protected with DataGuard! Data Guard, part of ClassLink's advanced IAM suite, is a ClassLink Roster Server upgrade that empowers schools to take control of the data they share with vendors. Instead of giving vendor partners all the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of students and staff, Data Guard lets schools share only essential data and mask all other key fields.

Smart Rostering
New Smart Rostering features in Roster Server save time and increase security. Inside Roster Server, schools will find vendor-defined required rostering fields, saving schools the hassle of researching, calling, and checking which fields they need to send to vendors. With these updates, schools increase data security by only sending necessary data.

Inside Roster Server, schools will also find a new AI Support Bot, named Clif, ready to save time by providing helpful in-the-moment answers to Roster Server questions directly within the product.

Audit Center Upgrades
ClassLink’s recently launched Audit Center is already gaining new features. Schools can currently create rubrics within Audit Center, and soon, they will also be able to create their own Checklists!
Audit Center's new Certified Reviewers Marketplace will also help schools quickly find and connect with Certified Cybersecurity Rubric Evaluators (CCREs). The marketplace provides a list of certified CCREs and their contact info, making it easier for schools to get expert help in aligning cybersecurity efforts with industry standards.
