Meet Dr. Matt Thompson, 2024 Visionary Leader

Last year, Dr. Matt Thompson, former Superintendent of Schools for the MSD of Mount Vernon, was recognized as the 2024 Visionary Leader.

Dr. Thompson exemplifies effective leadership, demonstrating a commitment to innovation, fiscal strategy, and teacher welfare.

As a trailblazer in education, he pioneered the use of technology to safeguard district data and implement transformative measures. His inspirational leadership served his district and the broader landscape.

We asked Dr. Thompson to share how it feels to be nominated and then awarded an L&D Award:

"It’s an incredible honor to receive the 2024 ClassLink Visionary Leader Award. This recognition reaffirms the importance of creating an environment where innovation and learning intersect to empower both students and educators. I'm proud to be part of a movement that prioritizes access and growth for all."
